The Cat Fanciers Association or CFA is a non-profit organization founded in
1906 in New York whose mission is to protect the health and well-being as
well responsible ownership of cats around the world. Currently CFA has over
654 worldwide clubs holding over 650 shows annually with a registration
record of over 2 million cats. The largest number of cats registered are
from the Persian, Maine Coon, Siamese and Abyssinian breeds.
